Welcome to the 2025/2026 season

In less than a week, specifically on Monday the 28th of July, the Shanghai Masters in China kicks off the 2025/2026 season! The tournament will feature the biggest names in our sport like Judd Trump ♠️, Mark Selby 🃏, Ronnie O'Sullivan 🚀 and of course the reigning World Champion Zhao Xintong! Do you think Xintong will continue his fearless snooker with success or will he have the common post-World Champion dip?

Make sure to create a team before the tournament starts so you don't miss out on valuable points (it's a B-tier tournament which gives you 33% more points)!

Latest developments

Although we admittedly have not coded all summer (life comes at you fast), we have done something. Here's the most notable changes:

game: increased value for Xintong in the 2025/2026 season by adding synthetic points (I mean it would be sweet if he was free but it would've been kind of silly right?).
changed email provider 🥳 hopefully this fixes issues regarding emails not received for users with Microsoft email providers like Hotmail and Outlook. If you're still having issues, let us know.
user profile: you can manage your email notifications/subscriptions.
leagues in previous seasons are no longer editable.
leagues: show better feedback message in invite page rather than a 404 if invite has been revoked.
leagues: other small fixes.
notifications: links in body instead of the entire notification being clickable.
notifications: show time when notification was sent (I think it looks goood now 🙂).
change email: can abort the change email process.
automatic updates for the codebase.

Look ahead

Gosh, as always we have so many grand ideas, and if we had unlimited time available we'd get some much cool stuff done. We're gonna drop a few cool things though with a disclaimer that we might not be able to implement it just yet:

Use AI for something cool. Let's spice things up. Perhaps you could get a custom update after every tournament, or suggestions for your team? It sounds like an awesome idea at least!
We'll continue to automate things. This frees up time for cooler features and keeps the game sustainable.
We definitely want to make the frontpage more dynamic, it'll probably have info about the coming/current tournament.
